Markus Spiske (born 1972 in Stadtsteinach) has been working as a freelance media designer for print and web in Bayreuth and Erlangen since 2003. Over the years, he has taught himself photography autodidactically.
I work with Leica cameras and lenses for these pictures, using minimal equipment.
During the last 5 years I have used a Leica R7 and a Leica M6. Before, I’ve worked with a Revueflex SC2 from the 80’s from my father.

Avoid resource consumption
From my point of view, it is essential to keep the consumption of resources as low as possible. This applies in particular to artistic aspects.
That’s why I’m using analog vintage cameras and 98% film rolls, that have been expired for more than 15-20 years and often haven’t been stored adequately.
There is always a risk of the result being completely unusable – but that keeps the tension and expectation high…
